Inhaled Tobramycin for BPD Treatment in Preterm Infants with Respiratory Infections

Study Description
The open-label phase 1 trial explores up to 4 doses of inhaled tobramycin for treating bronchopulmonary dysplasia in very preterm infants. The study aims to establish initial data regarding tolerability, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics. In infants with pathogenic Gram-negative organism culture in their tracheal aspirate, administrations are done while under invasive mechanical ventilation. This trial is looking to develop a treatment plan utilizing inhaled tobramycin for neonatal BPD management.
