Hyperimmune Bovine Colostrum for Campylobacter Infection Prevention

Study Description
Campylobacter infection is a leading cause of foodborne illness globally, resulting in millions of cases and thousands of deaths. This study aims to assess the efficacy of hyperimmune bovine colostrum in preventing moderate to severe diarrhea caused by Campylobacter C. jejuni strain CG8421. The research will involve a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study with approximately 30 healthy adult participants. The participants will receive the investigational product or placebo three times daily for 7 days, beginning 2 days prior to challenge with the pathogen. The researchers hypothesize that hyperimmune bovine colostrum will provide protection against C. jejuni strain CG8421 mediated diarrhea.
